Kiwanis One Day in Division 5
World's Biggest Bedtime Story - Peterson Event Center
What a day. Yes in the morning we had Kiwanians and Key Clubs and Circle K people all over. They packaged the "Nifty Giftys" for the kids. I was told they made up the gift bags in the fastest time ever.--PHEW .
Then from 3pm till 7:30pm more Kiwanians, I couldn't get to see everybody. They sure knew we were there. "Uncle" Don Sanker was taking pictures everywhere. He will get them to me and I hopefully will send them out. There were well over 3,000 plus people ( kid's in P.J.'s ) at the BIGGEST BEDTIME STORY. We all helped check them in and then gave them cookies (from Eat 'n Park) and milk and or water. All I can tell you is Don Sanker said he saw Kiwanians all over the place. I don't want to mention names, because I will forget someone. BUT KUDOS to everyone YES CONGRATS to all. I personally want to thank everyone , I hope you all had as great a time as Barbara and I had.
For everyone's information COMCAST videod the whole program. It will be listed on Comcast on Demand. I also believe parts of it will be on WTAE -TV, don't know when though. I hope all of you had a great KOD.
DIVISION 5 YOU CAME THROUGH. Kiwanis is proud of you.
Jay Rogal, LTG, Division 5
P. S. Don said he would get some pictures in ALL Kiwanis Papers.
ENOUGH Jay, you will talk everyone to death.---Chea

Park Spring Cleanup - Kiwanis Club of Freeport
From Jim McCurdy
The Park project spring cleanup was a huge success. We had a wonderful turnout. We raked up all of the leaves and fixed the slats in the fence. There were about 100 people from the Kiwanis and the soccer and the little league. We had hot dogs and soft drinks and coffee. The weather was great. Need to plan another Saturday to get the playground rides painted. I read the E-mail about the Kiwanis one day. Sounds like it was a huge success.
