Kiwanians wanted for Jamaica trip

October 1, 2010 | Newsroom | Author: Neil Young

Starting January 31- Feb 7, 2011 Kiwanians will again gather at Westhaven Children's Home near Montego Bay Jamaica. This might be the last time to this location. It is predicted that it will be a record year for attendance. There is something for everyone to do as there 82 severely handicapped children who need our attention. Some of us help in laundry, painting, sewing, masonry, carry supplies for the masons and carpenters. The cost is $800.00 per person which pays for your room for 7 days (2 to the room), breakfast, lunch, transport in Jamaica, some money for materials, and hiring some Jamaican workers. Your airfare will cost you between 4-500. There is a direct 3 1/2 hour flight on Air Jamaica from PHL. US Airways leaves Harrisburg and changes planes in Charolette. Money can be paid on or before Dec 15 and check is made out to Mark Rabaut. Check with your accountant for possible tax deduction.
