“Make Time to Make a Difference”

To recap this year’s midwinter conference, I would describe it as challenging, motivating, educational, exciting, and fun. At Friday night’s joint opening session with Key Club we heard from Key Club District Governor Julia DeFabo, Circle K District Governor Brett Cutright, and Key Club International Trustee William Robertson. Key Club once again chose Caitlin’s Smiles as their YSY project for next year. The evening concluded with an entertaining and inspiring address by renowned and motivational speaker Scott Greenberg.

We were fortunate to have our International Trustee Dr. John Button, past International President Dr. Wil Blechman, and Lloyd Lamm, President and CEO of the Capital Region of the First National Bank of PA to conduct workshops along with many outstanding PA District Kiwanians. Workshops included topics on wellness, growth, early childhood intervention, technology, and leadership. We were challenged Saturday night by Dr. Wil Blechman to reach out to our 0-5 year old's as what transpires in their early years is what forms them as adults.

Sunday morning concluded our weekend as The Rev. Albert Gesler inspired us on the 1st objective of Kiwanis, “to give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life.”
