Eliminate Worldwide Report Day
May 22, 2012 is The Eliminate Project’s very first Worldwide Report Day. Each District Coordinator has a scheduled time to call in and speak directly with Campaign Chairman Randy DeLay. Randy will receive reports on the amount of committed and pending Model Clubs, Zeller Fellows, Club Coordinators and Lead and Major Gifts in all Districts.

Biggest Bedtime Story
With so many cutbacks in funding, Kiwanis clubs frequently find themselves trying to fill in the gaps. The Sheraden club had been actively volunteering at the citywide Biggest Bedtime Story that was held at the University of Pittsburgh. This event drew children from every city neighborhood. Local celebrities read to the children and each child received a gift bag and a snack. When the project lost its funding the Sheraden Club decided to hold the event on a smaller scale for the children in the West End neighborhoods

Kiwanis POWER UP! Fundraiser
POWER UP! costs Kiwanians nothing. In fact, Kiwanians can actually save money on their electric bills while they provide Pennsylvania Kiwanis with a continuing stream of income.

Thank you for words I don’t even know . . .
At last fall’s Region One meeting and Governor’s visit, members of the Kiwanis Club of Edinboro learned about The Dictionary Project. It seemed relatively easy – the club purchases dictionaries and presents them to third grade students. Considering some of our time- and labor-intensive projects, this was a perfect idea for our club!

Valley, Athens Rally to benefit Flood Survivors
On September 9, 2011 a strong rain storm hit Pennsylvania, and in the days after causing many residents in the path of the rushing water to evacuate their homes and their communities. It was during this time when a member of the Kiwanis Club of Valley, Athens sent a text message to the club president asking how Kiwanis can help with this disaster.
