The State College Kiwanis club is asking that everyone coming to Mid-Winter bring a child-sized battery operated tooth brush with them.  Every spring - usually in April -  a local free clinic, Centre Volunteers in Medicine, does a program entitled "Give Kids a Smile." It's a screening for children who cannot afford dental care that is done by local dentists who volunteer their time. Every child they see is examined and any needed work is done on the spot, including cleaning, root canals, fillings…CVIM likes to give every one a child-sized battery operated tooth brush. These can be bought at local Wal-Marts, Targets, etc. Children love these, especially the kid-themed ones. So - each child goes home with a new battery-operated tooth brush and loves to brush their teeth!
